Migration from deprecated libraries - WindowsAzure.Storage and Microsoft.Azure.Storage to Azure.Storage.Blobs
Microsoft 10.0.43 version (which is now generally available) made as obsolete library WindowsAzure.Storage which we have used in MDI for import and upload files to Azure file share.
Therefore we have refactored MDI in preview 10.0.43 version in order to use new library from Microsoft (Azure.Storage.File.Shares) available since 10.0.43 version.
According to Microsoft schedule in next version: 10.0.44 (generally available 06.06.2025) they will stop shipping old libraries, so if you are using MDI with old library would not be able to upgrade D365FO to 10.0.44.
Our plan is to release refactored MDI with new library from Microsoft in our July 2025 (2507) release and in this release we will build our package in 10.0.43 version which includes new library from Microsoft.
Our release 2507 is the release which will be built on 10.0.43 version, therefore it is mandatory that you upgrade to 10.0.43 when upgrading to Dynaway version 2507
In this version there is already new Microsoft library used in refactored MDI.
Our recommendation is that all EAM customers should then wait with upgrade to 10.0.44 version.
The best process for you would be:
1) Upgrade environment to 10.0.43 when it will be applicable.
2) Park upgrade to 10.0.44 until our release EAM 2507 will be available.
3) When our release EAM 2507 is available upgrade EAM to 2507.
4) Afterwards upgrade D365FO to 10.0.44
Therefore, our recommendation for all EAM customers is that they should not upgrade their environments to 10.0.44 when they have EAM version older than 2507 They need to install first EAM 2507 and afterwards they are good to upgrade to 10.0.44
