How to enable logging for Dynaway Mobile for Asset Management synchronization?

This article explains how to enable logging for Dynaway Mobile for Asset Management synchronization process and export the log files to Excel.

  1. Navigate to Dynaway mobile > Setup > Handler setup > in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations 

  2. Locate Handler ID named synchronization/get in column Handler ID

  3. Click Edit

  4. Put a checkmark in Enable logging
  5. Click Save
  6. Right click on Dynaway Mobile link and open Dynaway Mobile in incognito mode in a browser.



  7. Sign in

    Opening Dynaway Mobile in incognito mode in a browser will ensure that a full synchronization is initiated. 

    A full synchronization must be performed in Dynaway Mobile before log files are generated and exported to Excel. 

  8. Navigate to Dynaway mobile > Setup > Handler setup
    Locate Handler ID named synchronization/get in column Handler ID.
    Select synchronization/get row  > Click Handler logs in the top menu.
  9. Click Open in Microsoft Office
  10. Export the log file to Excel
  11. Click Download
  12. Save the Excel file
  13. Navigate to Dynaway mobile > Setup > Entity setup
  14. Click Open in Microsoft Office
  15. Save the Excel file
  16. Navigate to Dynaway Mobile > Inquiries > Failed entity submits
  17. Click Open in Microsoft Office
  18. Click Download
  19. Save the Excel file
  20. Send all three log files to Dynaway via email.
